First Church of God is an evangelical church that places emphasis upon heartfelt worship and strong Bible teaching. We appreciate the contribution of Pentecostalism because of the strong emphasis on the fullness of the Holy Spirit and the exercise of spiritual gifts, as well as, the contribution of Fundamentalism which holds to the literal interpretation of the Bible as divinely inspired and inerrant. Therefore, we recognize the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer and are committed to study God’s word so that the Holy Spirit can conform us to the image of Jesus Christ.
All of our worship services each weekend are the same in regard to worship style and teaching focus. Our hope is that we will “…all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” (Eph 4:13)
