Women’s Ministry

Women's Ministry is a network of opportunities for women which includes fellowship, Bible study, and serving the church and community.

This comes from the spoken teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ through the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:19-20(ESV)

As part of the outreach of FCOG, the Women’s Ministry offers a safe place for ALL women to connect through Bible Studies, Fellowship & Prayer. Our goal is that each woman will expand and develop deeper spiritual growth & relationship in our Lord.

The Old Testament story of Esther is a profile in courage and contains many modern parallels for today's overloaded and stressed woman.  Esther, while a queen, lived as an outsider in a hostile environment. Join us for a study that will help us learn strong lessons of faith, providence, and hope to equip us to live courageously "for such a time as this."

Thursday Morning Studies - Begins January 25th

Childcare ONLY available upon request. Email womensministry@fcog.com to request childcare.

Thursday mornings – C-41 from 9:30 – 11:30 am

Facilitator: Muffy Amico

Unforeseen trials and suffering get our attention! During trials, confusion reigns, contentment wanes; questions arise and prayers subside. Peter explains how suffering perfects our faith and encourages us to persevere in faith. By rooting our perseverance in the person of Jesus we cling to the hope that He has promised. Peter's message is that suffering works eternal qualities in us that times of prosperity never could. Join us as we learn how to face and thrive in the midst of trials and suffering.

Thursday mornings – D-53 from 9:30 – 11:30 am

Facilitators:  Louise Ozias

While filled to the brim with hope and joyous tidings, Paul's 2 letters offer believers clear instruction for godly living in anticipation of Christ's return for His Church!  Chapter-by-chapter teaching with discussion.

Facilitator:  Marilyn McQuinn & Libby Wiseman

Thursday mornings – D-51  9:30 – 11:30 am

First half of the season: Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer, a 7 week study (January 25th – March 8th), Book fee: $13

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you. A cunning, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you - your emotions, your mind, your family, your future. But...when the enemy meets a woman dressed for the occasion, he fails miserably. Join Priscilla Shirer in a 7-session Bible study that will challenge you to suit up, stand firm, and secure victory in your life.

Second half of the season: Clothed With Power by Jennifer Kennedy Dean, a 6 week study (March 15th – April 19th), Book fee $11

When it comes to clothing ourselves with the Spirit, one size does not fit all! Exploring how the Holy Spirit is at work in our lives, Dean's 6-week interactive study uses the symbolism of the Old Testament priests' garments to show how the Spirit's customized indwelling enhances our best features and diminishes our weaknesses.
