Giving FAQ

What if I change banks or receive a new debit or credit card?

If you’ve set up recurring giving online, simply log in in to your profile, cancel your current giving and setup a new recurring giving payment. You can do this by clicking the “Giving” tab, then clicking “Manage Scheduled Giving”.

May I update the frequency or amount of my donation?

Yes. Simply login in to My FCOG, cancel your current giving and setup a new recurring giving payment.

Can I use a credit or debit card?

You can use either. While we don’t encourage debt, those of you who have a great handle on your monthly budget and pay your balance off monthly can take advantage of your credit cards rewards program.

May I just try this once?

You sure can. You can give one time or setup recurring giving by simply login into My FCOG, clicking the “Giving” tab, then selecting the “Give Now” option.

When is my donation charged to my account?

Depending on the service, anywhere from immediately to 3 days.Automatic Bill/Bank Pay from your bank may vary.

Do I pay any additional fees to give online?

Not through Direct Deposit giving or Online giving. Your bank may charge you a fee for Automatic Bill/Bank Pay.

What does it cost First Church?

We pay a very small percentage on all online gifts with debit or credit cards. Online giving through a checking or savings account is free. Either way, don’t let this discourage you from setting up recurring gifts online.
